Mission Statement In conjunction with the Department’s mission to “license efficiently and regulate fairly”, the mission of the Child Labor Program is to provide a program of education, enforcement, and administrative initiatives designed to achieve full compliance in the enforcement of Child Labor laws and ensure the health, education and welfare of Florida’s working minors.
Vision Ensure the health, education and welfare of Florida’s working minors is observed in the workplace.
A waiver is valid for one year or until the minor turns 18. To renew a waiver application, supporting documents are required:
- Notarized letter requesting a new waiver
- Supporting documents for new changes if any (example: address, school type, or hardship).
- A new waiver application is required if you are a 15 year old turning 16
- Copy of old waiver
All requests for publications, documents, forms, applications for licenses, permits and other similar certifications can be obtained by contacting the Child Labor Division. Business Hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday.
