Mission Statement In conjunction with the Department’s mission to “license efficiently and regulate fairly”, the mission of the Child Labor Program is to provide a program of education, enforcement, and administrative initiatives designed to achieve full compliance in the enforcement of Child Labor laws and ensure the health, education and welfare of Florida’s working minors.

Vision Ensure the health, education and welfare of Florida’s working minors is observed in the workplace.

Getting Started in the Child Labor

To RENEW your waiver, click on the RENEW MY WAIVER link below and complete  the waiver renewal form. Please follow the directions listed on the renewal waiver form and submit all updated supporting documentation applicable for your renewal to the email address or  the fax number listed on the renewal document. See the applicable required supporting documents below:

  • Current Notarized Statement
  • Current Home-School Enrollment Letter
  • Current  Private School Enrollment Letter
  • Current Adult Ed. GED Prep Enrollment Letter
  • Other Hardship Letter: Financial/Medical
  • Other School Enrollment Letter

All requests for publications, documents, forms, applications for licenses, permits and other similar certifications can be obtained by contacting the Child Labor Division. Business Hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday.
