June 22, 2012 Dear Friends, This week marked the official start to summer, which means Floridians are probably looking for ways to stay out of the intense Florida heat. Whether you choose to sit outdoors by your pool and soak up the sun or prefer to stay inside and enjoy some air conditioning, make sure you hire only licensed professionals to perform any work you may need. Licensed swimming pool contractors have shown they have the necessary education and experience to perform the work, understand the most recent codes and are held to the highest professional standards. Additionally, if your air conditioner goes out, be sure to call only licensed air conditioner technicians to do the work. Hiring licensed professionals helps to ensure the work performed is not substandard and will get you back to enjoying your summer in no time! Lastly, after summer is over, be on the lookout for information on our Financial Crimes Educational Conference, specifically for our Real Estate licensees. The event is slated to be in Orlando in October at the FAMU Law School. If you are one of our real estate professionals, stay tuned for more information! Sincerely, ![]() Ken Lawson Department of Business and |
