Dear Friends,
Last year, the Drugs, Devices and Cosmetics (DDC) Program was transferred from the Department of Health to DBPR. Since the transfer took place, the Program is now a Division, and I am happy to report that we have made some large improvements to ensure the regulatory process is enhanced for this very important segment of our licensees.
From the outset, we have made licensee feedback and input the Division’s primary focus. We want to know what can be improved and we regularly gather alternative ideas from the industry. Additionally, we openly seek legislative ideas from DDC’s stakeholders, frequently meet with representatives from the industry and work around whatever barriers we can to license efficiently and regulate fairly. We understand that getting your business up-and-running is vital to the state’s economy, and employees will often work nights, weekends and holidays to make sure licensees are able to get to work.
Over the past several months, we have received an increased amount of positive feedback from our DDC licensees regarding the Division’s improvement. As a whole, the Department is continually making strides to be better for the sake of our customers and the people of this great state. Thank you for allowing us to continue serving you and I look forward to reporting even more success stories to you in the future!
Sincerely,
Ken Lawson
