Dear Friends,

Over the past several months, our Division of Hotels and Restaurants and our Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco have been working with local officials in Tampa to provide logistical support for security purposes at the Republican National Convention. Now that the Convention is upon us, both of these divisions will have a presence in a support capacity at the event and in the surrounding area to help ensure Floridians and guests are safe. The Convention will certainly have a sizable economic impact in Tampa, and we want to be sure that those attending the convention can enjoy their time in Tampa.

Throughout this week and next, our Division of Hotels and Restaurants will continue inspecting licensed establishments in the area ensuring that safety and sanitation guidelines are being met. Additionally, our Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco will offer supplemental law enforcement support at the convention and will be visiting licensed establishments to verify that the Florida beverage laws are being followed.

We are proud that we can offer a hand with what is expected to be a very large event here in our great state, and I truly hope those attending enjoy Tampa and the event. As always, thanks for allowing us to continue serving you!
