The Bottom Line

Department of Business and Professional Regulation

August 30, 2013

Dear Friends,

As Secretary of the Department, I not only want to continually focus on becoming more efficient for our customers, I also want to provide worthwhile professional development opportunities relevant to the industries we regulate as often as we can.

Last Friday, DBPR hosted a day-long Anti-Money Laundering Conference at the University of Miami School of Law. Business executives, financial professionals, attorneys and students attended the conference which featured industry experts on Anti-Money Laundering and gaming.

The conference featured several experts including Duncan Deville, Andrew S. Ittleman, Edward J. Page, Joseph Kelly, Robert E. O’Neill, David Battle, Ed Jenkins, James English and David Kolvek. I sincerely want to thank them all for taking time out of their busy schedule to come and present on this very important topic at the Conference.

Helping those we regulate be the best they can be at their jobs is crucial and only helps to maintain our strong workforce here in Florida. I look forward to offering more opportunities such as this one in the future!

Sincerely,

Ken Lawson’s Signature
