Tampa, Fla. – The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation today announced that it will be hosting its 5th Annual “Celebrating Women in Business” panel discussion in Tampa at the end of March. Local business women are encouraged to attend for networking opportunities and to hear career advice and entrepreneurial experiences from top female business leaders in the Tampa area.
“This year’s ‘Celebrating Women in Business’ panel discussion is especially important to me,” said DBPR Secretary Ken Lawson. “As a Tampa native, I take pride in the city’s thriving business culture and look forward to providing an additional networking opportunity for local female business leaders. I’ve witnessed firsthand how professional development and career advice can positively influence an individual, and this event will be a valuable asset for businesswomen in the Tampa area looking to gain professional momentum and advance their careers.”
The panel will consist of top female business leaders in the Tampa area from industries ranging from engineering, public relations and food service to banking, real estate and litigation. The event is free to attend and open to the public, but RSVPs are encouraged to ensure event space is properly prepared. Each year, DBPR’s “Celebrating Women in Business” panel discussion is hosted in a different part of the state. Since the annual panel discussion began in 2012, the event has taken place in Tallahassee, Gainesville, Orlando and Jacksonville to celebrate strong female business leaders in the local area.
