Recent DBPR Prosecutions & Criminal Convictions
Unlicensed activity cases can be prosecuted by both the department and the criminal justice system.
1. Department/Administrative Prosecution:
The department may prosecute the case before the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH). Department prosecution results in fines and costs being imposed on the unlicensed individual.

2. Criminal Prosecution:
All unlicensed activity cases are forwarded to the local State Attorney or possible criminal prosecution. The criminal case number will not be the same as the department case number.
These two types of prosecution are completely separate and the department does not always know the results of a criminal charge or if the State Attorney has decided not to prosecute. However, whenever possible, this website will contain information known by the department about criminal convictions of cases, including a photograph.
