Attention Prospective Electrical Contractor Examination Candidates:
The Electrical Contractors’ Certification examinations is offered in two parts: a Technical/Safety section (100 scored test questions, 5 hours) and a Business section (50 scored test questions, 2 ½ hours). These two examination parts may include five or more additional pilot questions that will not be scored for or against you. You can find more information about this practice by visiting:

Both examinations parts are administered via computer at secure, proctored test locations by our current contracted vendor Pearson VUE. Each examination is open-book. The examinations are administered separately and scored independently from each other. A minimum score of 75% is needed to pass each examination part. Candidates must pass both parts in order to apply for licensure.
