Department of Business and Professional Regulation Holds First Ever Mobile Food Vendor Fair

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) will hold its first ever Mobile Food Vendor Fair today in Tallahassee. The event, which is sponsored by the Northwood Centre, will include nine mobile food vendors from the Big Bend and will also feature a live local band.
“Mobile food vendors are a flourishing segment of our food service licensees, and it is important that we build a strong regulatory partnership with them,” said Secretary Ken Lawson. “Business development is vital to Florida’s economy, and we will continue to encourage these local small business owners to grow.”
DBPR licenses and regulates all food service establishments in the state, including mobile food vendors and hot dog carts. As the most rapidly growing segment of the Department’s food service licensees, mobile food vendors are a vital part of the state’s economy. The fair is part of a continued initiative for the Department to meet licensees and encourage their business development.
DBPR is located in the Northwood Centre at 1940 North Monroe Street in Tallahassee. The fair will be held from 4pm to 6pm and is open to the public.
