Bottom Line – November 20, 2009
Hi. I'm Chuck Drago.
This is going to be my last Bottom Line as the Secretary of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Governor Crist has asked me to come to the Governor's Office and serve as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Crist. I'm honored and thrilled for this opportunity to be able to serve this Governor in this new capacity.
But, it saddens me to because I'm going to be leaving a place that I love to work in, it's been a total joy to work here. The people are great here at DBPR and working with all of you, our licensees and the industry folks has been a real pleasure for me.
And I just wanted to take this minute to say thank you so much for all the help you gave me. We had a lot of success, I think, here at DBPR, we made a lot of changes, we had a lot of opportunities to help the people of the State of Florida and we couldn't have done any of it without you.
So, thank you so much for all your input. Thank you so much for the help you gave me, the suggestions, the ideas. It was all valuable resource for me as we tried to find ways to streamline our processes, cut read tape, reduce the burden for all our licensees. I think we've been successful in making it a little bit easier for folks to get their license and get their businesses open, especially in this difficult time.
So, I just wanted to take this opportunity to say good-bye. I'm sure that we'll be seeing each other in the future and if I can be of any help to you in the future in my new capacity, please don't hesitate to call.
