2009 National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week
As an alcoholic beverage retailer, you’re on the front lines of keeping alcohol out of the hands of underage youth. How do you prevent underage sales or consumption at your restaurant, bar or store? Do you have tips on spotting fake IDs or ways of managing a crowd of young drinkers? The Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco wants to tap into your knowledge and experience and share your tricks of the trade with others in the business.
In recognition of the 2009 National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week from Oct. 18-24, DBPR Secretary Charles W. Drago and ABT Director John Powell will share your tips in short videos that will be posted on DBPR’s Web site and Facebook. ABT will also “tweet” our Twitter followers.
With alcoholic beverage industry gurus as the subject matter experts and using multi-media communications and Web-based tools, together we can tackle underage drinking. We join colleges and universities throughout the state in the effort to protect underage youth.
