After I send my payment how long does it take to post to the system?
DBPR processes payments within 7 business days from receipt. Generally payments post in the system 10-14 days from the date they are mailed.
What payment methods do you allow online?
You may submit online payments using American Express, Discover, VISA, MasterCard or electronic check payment.
How long does it take to process my application?
The department is governed by Section 120.60, Florida Statutes, when processing the application. Generally an application is processed within three to four weeks from the date of receipt.
What does application deficiency mean?
An application is deemed deficient when all of the application requirements have not been met upon initial review. Application deficiencies are usually additional documents that must accompany the completed application to determine that the licensure qualifications have been completed.
After I have submitted the deficient information to the department how long does it take to review my application?
The department is governed by Section 120.60, Florida Statutes, when processing the deficient information and generally has up to 90 days to review the additional information to complete an application. However, additional information is generally reviewed within four to five weeks from the date of receipt.
When will I receive my renewal notice?
Renewal notices are mailed 90 days prior to the expiration date. You may check the DBPR Online Services and renew 15-30 days prior to receiving the renewal notice.
What is the advantage of renewing my license online?
When you renew your license online, you will receive immediate confirmation that your renewal was received and processed successfully. In addition, online renewal reduces the turn around time for receiving the renewed license form.
How long does it take to process my renewal?
A license renewal mailed to the department may take three to four weeks processing time. The renewed license may be received via mail services 10-14 days after processing.
How do I request a duplicate license?
Duplicate license requests must be received in writing by the Department. Submit form DBPR 0090-1 Duplicate License Request along with the appropriate fee (if any) as indicated on the form. Forms and payment should be mailed to DBPR, 1940 N Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399-0750.
