Fire Violation Reports
The 2008 Florida Legislature passed Chapter 2008-055, Laws of Florida, changing the Division of Hotels and Restaurants’ fire inspection responsibility effective July 1, 2008. This law requires the division to notify the State Fire Marshal or local fire safety authorities of readily observable violations of rules adopted under Chapter 633, Florida Statutes.
Weekly Extracts
The division began sending weekly extracts of food and lodging fire violations to fire authorities throughout the state starting on July 5, 2008. The first extract contains all the fire violations observed between June 23 and July 5. Each extract after that includes fire violations data entered during the previous week. The weekly reports below are in Microsoft Excel format.

- Open file in Excel
- Choose Column B (click on the B)
- From the menu at the top, choose Data > Filter > Autofilter
- In Column B, you will see that there is now a down arrow. Click on that.
- Choose the county you want from the list (e.g., Escambia).
- Now the list should have filtered out everything but that county for printing if there are any.
