Welcome to the DBPR Kids’ Corner!
Here you’ll find fun and exciting activities for kids to explore their dreams to become what they want to be in Florida when they grow up.
In 2013, DBPR set off to create a children’s e-book with illustrations created by Florida students. You can download the book, “Follow Your Dreams in Florida, You can be anything you want to be!” for free. Follow the links below to download the format to your preference. We encourage parents to read the book with your children and teachers with your students. We hope that this book inspires children to shoot for the stars to become what they want to be in Florida when they grow up. After reading the book, encourage children to draw pictures of what they want to be in Florida when they grow up and share it with us on Facebook and Twitter using #dbprkidsdreamsfl.

About DBPR and Unlicensed Activity in Florida
Unlicensed Activity is Against the Law
The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is state agency under the authority of the governor of Florida. Our mission is to license efficiently and regulate fairly. In order to do this successfully, we are always finding new ways to educate Floridians of all ages of the importance of hiring licensed professionals.
In Florida, many people who work in all sorts of professions have to go to school, take tests and pass all of these requirements in order to get a professional license from the state. And, in order to continue to keep their license, those professionals have to continue their education through courses and workshops, which are required by the state. Anyone who wants to be a construction contractor, veterinarian, certified public accountant, barber, cosmetologist and more are all licensed and regulated by DBPR. Be sure to always verify licenses before hiring a professional!
And, if you ever suspect that someone is working without a professional license be sure to report that unlicensed activity by calling the ULA Hotline at 1-866-532-1440 or visiting our website at www.myfloridalicense.com/ula.
