Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes
Recent changes to Florida Law, effective July 1, 2008, eliminate state regulation with respect to offering subdivided land for sale without first obtaining a valid order of registration from this division. However, your inquiry/complaint may fall under the jurisdiction of the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). You may direct your inquiry there.
You may contact HUD at www.hud.gov/complaints/landsales.cfm or send your complaint to:
Office of RESPA and Interstate Land Sales
Room 9146
Department of Housing and Urban Development
451 7th Street SW
Washington, DC 20410
If you feel that you have been the victim of land sales fraud, in addition to HUD, you may wish to contact the Florida Attorney General's Office, Economic Crimes Unit at http://myfloridalegal.com/contact.

If you are a subdivider and previously registered with this division, there is no longer a requirement to submit annual reports or renewal of registration fees or encumbrance reports after July 1, 2008, as there is no longer a requirement to register with the division.
If you filed a division certified registration with HUD, your registration with HUD will continue to be regulated by that agency.
You may contact HUD at http://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/ils/ilshome.cfm or by mail to:
