April 22, 2011 Dear Friends, Spring is a time for new beginnings — we do some spring cleaning, spruce things up a bit, and think about all the new possibilities ahead. Here at DBPR, we've made a commitment to keep working to do things better, and this spring has been no exception. We've improved several processes that benefit our customers, including an upgrade to our online service programs. We've also been working with the Governor and the Legislature to get rid of any unnecessary regulations that weigh businesses down — a true cleaning of the government cobwebs and barnacles. As we prepare to welcome Secretary Ken Lawson to the agency, I'm excited about the team that is ready to work for him. I'm certain the future holds many good things, not only for the agency but also for the businesses and professionals we have been called upon to serve. Sincerely, ![]() Charlie Liem Department of Business and |
