Dear Friends,

April marks the start of three months of celebrations for students, from proms to graduations. As our students celebrate their successes and often the beginnings of new chapters in life, it is so important for us to encourage safe decision making and behavior so these celebrations don't end in tragedy.

Our Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco begins preparing for prom and graduation early by reaching out to the school districts throughout the state and offering any extra assistance to promote safe proms and graduation. This year was no exception, and we're actively working with school districts across Florida to encourage our youth to make wise decisions and celebrate safely.

Our department works hard to protect our children while enforcing our laws. Parents, teachers, neighbors and other concerned adults can help promote responsible behavior by reminding the students in their lives that underage drinking is dangerous, destructive, and illegal. Together, we can make prom and graduation season all the more reason to celebrate!
