August 27, 2010 Dear Friends: This week, the Florida Realtors® shared great news for Florida real estate brokers and brokerage firms that have been affected by the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. Brokers and brokerage firms that have experienced loss of personal income as a result of the spill can now file claims for economic damages. While NCA Claims Administration Professionals is processing these claims, we want to ensure that our licensees know about the program. A real estate industry-specific Web site has been launched to help affected professionals obtain information and file claims. To get started, anyone can visit GulfReClaims.com or call 888-498-6944 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., EST, Monday through Friday. Claimants will need the following information in order to file a claim:
