October 16, 2009 Dear Friends, I am pleased to share that this week we expanded the "What Requires a DBPR License?" feature on our Web site. Now, customers and Florida's consumers can go online at www.MyFloridaLicense.com and find what services require a certified public accounting license or a real estate sales associate and broker license and which do not. The "What Requires a DBPR License?" Web page provides a user-friendly resource for consumers to find licensing information and requirements through detailed descriptions and helpful checklists. This simple, Web-based tool is an efficient way to educate consumers and prevent unlicensed activity. We look forward to continuing to add to this Web page. Consumer education is an important part of DBPR's regulatory function. I hope that you will use this feature next time you're thinking about hiring a state-licensed professional. Sincerely, ![]() Charles W. Drago Department of Business and |
