Here at the Department, we value our licensees and always enjoy engaging license groups so we can encourage their success here in Florida. I realize there are various ways we can interact with our licensees, some of which include visiting the respective trade associations and assisting licensees with professional development relevant to their profession. I’m proud to say that throughout this week and next, we will be doing just that as we engage two of our largest license groups across the state.
This week, I had the pleasure of speaking to many of our alcoholic beverage and tobacco licensees at the annual Retail Beverage Council meeting in St. Augustine. At the meeting, I discussed recent improvements the Department and the Division have made to help ensure we are operating as efficiently as possible for this very important group of licensees. I always enjoy meeting with the industries we regulate and appreciate the feedback they provide.
Additionally, next Friday the Department will host the 2012 Real Estate Financial Crimes Conference at the FAMU College of Law in Orlando. The conference, which will be a vital professional development opportunity for real estate and appraisal licensees, will highlight the importance of ensuring the integrity of real estate transactions. This topic is important to real estate professionals as well as Florida’s consumers, and we are looking forward to a fantastic event! Registration for the event is free and space is limited, so please click here for more details and to register.
Licensee outreach and interaction is crucial to maintaining our partnerships with our customers. I look forward to visiting with more of our licensees in the future, and as always, thank you for allowing us to continue serving you!
