Dear Friends,
This week, as Hurricane Sandy struck the majority of the Northeast coast, we were sadly reminded that these storms are very dangerous and can have a lasting impact on multiple cities and whole communities across the nation. Many of our licensees, consumers and friends have loved ones in the region, and our thoughts and prayers are with each of the storm victims as clean-up efforts begin.
Each year, at the start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, we remind businesses, professionals and consumers to prepare and develop disaster preparedness plans in the event a storm targets Florida. Because these dangerous storms often provide short notice as they are approaching, planning in advance is critical in protecting your home, family and business. Although we are now at the beginning of November, please remember that the 2012 Hurricane Season is still not over. In fact, the Season does not end until November 30, 2012, and if you have not developed a preparedness plan, it isn’t too late to do so. Please visit www.FloridaDisaster.org for more information, including a step-by-step guide to formulating a plan.
Sincerely,
Ken Lawson
