So far, 2013 has been quite eventful here at the Department, and I wanted to remind you of a few ways you can interact directly with us. We are committed to making every interaction with our customers a great one, so I hope you will take advantage of these opportunities.
First, the start of the Legislative Session is next week which means Department employees will be available on the Plaza Level of the Florida Capitol for our second annual Customer Assistance Days. The CustomerAssist program was developed to provide customers who may need assistance with license applications with a direct and personal point of access to the Department. Additionally, we encourage our licensees to also come visit our booth should they have any questions about their license.
The following businesses and professions will be represented from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 4pm on the Plaza level of the Florida Capitol on the following dates:
-March 5: Regulation
-March 6: Cosmetology
-March 7: Construction
-April 17: Hotels and Restaurants
-April 18: Real Estate
-April 24: Condominiums and Cooperatives/Regulation
-April 25: Construction
-May 1: Cosmetology
-May 2: Hotels and Restaurants/Construction
The Central Intake Unit, which processes applications for the Department’s licenses, will also be available on March 6 and 7, April 18, April 25 and May 1 to answer questions about license application processes.
Finally, yesterday was the start of the public voting phase in our architecture student video contest. The judges have narrowed it down to five videos, and now it’s your turn to decide the top three winners. The videos were limited to 30 seconds each and are encouraging consumers to use only licensed architects. If you have a few minutes, I’d encourage you to visit https://www.research.net/s/CPSZFXT and place your vote today. The public voting phase will end March 14. The teams have worked very hard on these projects, and we are excited to see how the public votes!
These are just two of the projects we have going on currently so that we may better serve our customers. We are dedicated to being the best we can be, and I appreciate the opportunity to continue serving you!
