The Bottom Line

Department of Business and Professional Regulation

March 8, 2013

Dear Friends,

Each year during the Spring Break season, agents from the Department’s Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (ABT) join forces with local law enforcement agencies across the state to ensure that Floridians and visitors remain safe as they celebrate their break from school. Thousands of students travel from across the country and the world to enjoy Florida’s beautiful beaches, and it is our goal to help keep them safe during their visit.

One of the main priorities of ABT is to enforce the state’s beverage laws, which includes the state’s drinking age. Underage drinking is dangerous, and whether you’re underage in possession of alcohol or selling alcohol to an underage person, the consequences will be serious. We are dedicated to helping everyone have a safe Spring Break, and I sincerely hope each person who comes to our wonderful state has a fun, safe and relaxing time!

Sincerely,

Ken Lawson’s Signature
