The Bottom Line

Department of Business and Professional Regulation

May 24 , 2013

Dear Friends,

As the Memorial Day weekend approaches, I believe it is important to remember what the holiday is all about: honoring and remembering the soldiers that have paid the ultimate sacrifice while fighting for this great country of ours. Because of their great service to make America the best place to live, it is crucial to show them sincere gratitude and respect because freedom is never free.

As many of us prepare to celebrate this fun-filled weekend, I want to urge each of you to do so safely. Although it is a time of remembrance, it is also an occasion to spend time with family and friends, get out of the house and enjoy our wonderful Florida weather.

To help ensure everyone is able to enjoy the holiday, the Department’s Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco will be out across the state making sure Florida’s beverage laws are being followed. Our patrol efforts are vital to ensuring local communities are safe so that everyone may enjoy the Memorial Day weekend.

No matter how you plan to celebrate this Memorial Day, please do so responsibly. Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Ken Lawson’s Signature
