Dear Friends,

This week marked my one-year anniversary as Secretary at the Department, and I feel extremely blessed and honored to be able to serve the citizens of Florida each and every day. Over the past year, the Department has made great strides to ensure that Florida is the best place for business, and I look forward to many more accomplishments that make your experiences with us even better.

As Secretary, I not only get to be a part of the Department’s great accomplishments, I also get to meet some really awesome people throughout our state. This week, I had the privilege of presenting a letter of recognition on behalf of the Governor to Florida’s oldest actively practicing barber. Delmar Smith has been practicing in Tallahassee for more than 75 years, and his passion for his work is clearly evident. He loves barbering, and I was honored to have the chance to meet him.

I truly appreciate the opportunity to continue serving you. Here’s to another great year!
