The Bottom Line

Department of Business and Professional Regulation

November 1, 2013

Dear Friends,

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation now offers online applications to Florida State Boxing Commission licensees. The department has taken great strides over the past several months to ease the licensing process and we are very excited for this new option for our licensees.

Currently, it takes an average of eight days to process an application by paper for Boxing Commission licensees. However, with the utilization of the online applications we expect a significant reduction to an average of two to four days. To begin the process to apply and renew your license online, you must first create an account through the DBPR website at www.myfloridalicense.com. Once your account has been created online, you may apply or renew by following the steps outlined on our homepage under “Apply For/Update Licenses” or “Renew Your License.” Furthermore, the online service will not only allow customers to apply or renew a license but also offer various other actions such as payment options, check application status and ability to update information such as address and email. The online process is designed to be simple and user-friendly enabling licensees to apply or renew quickly and easily. In addition, if any questions arise throughout the process, staff members located in the Commission Office are available to offer assistance by calling (850) 488-8500.

Again, I am very excited to share this update with you about the deployment of this new option for our licensees because it is vital that we are operating with smarter and more efficient business processes so you may get to work faster. Thank you for allowing us to serve you!
