The Bottom Line

Department of Business and Professional Regulation

September 15, 2017

Dear Friends,

I hope everyone is safe and secure following Hurricane Irma. At DBPR, our focus in the aftermath of the storm has been ensuring the well-being of our employees and licensees, as well as consumers who depend on our regulation for their safety. One way we are able to do this is to ensure Florida’s consumers are only using state-licensed professionals to repair their home or business following the storm.

Below are some post-hurricane resources that may help during the recovery process:

  • Check with your local building department for additional information on requirements for supplementary permits and licenses.

This past week, many of DBPR’s employees volunteered at call centers and with emergency support to help coordinate and deliver aid to affected areas around the state. We are committed to making Florida the best place for business, even in the aftermath of natural disasters such as Irma. If there is anything the Department can do to help following Hurricane Irma, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Zachem
