TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation was recognized last Wednesday evening at the Florida TaxWatch and Florida Council of 100 co-sponsored 25th Anniversary Prudential-Davis Productivity Awards ceremony for outstanding public service and efficiency in government. Thanks to their dedicated teamwork and timely delivery of licensing and consumer services, an impressive 234 DBPR employees were awarded for contributing to the inter-agency goal of saving Floridians' tax dollars this past year. Among these distinguished recipients are employees from various divisions in the department’s Tallahassee and Miami locations.
“I am proud to celebrate such a commendable award with my employees. We have a talented and productive team here at DBPR, and they deserve this recognition. I congratulate each of them on their success and thank them for their continued efforts to serve those whom we license with integrity and efficiency.”
This year, the Prudential-Davis Productivity Awards program will award a total of 468 individuals and teams from different state agencies at five regional ceremonies. The annual event in Tallahassee kicked off statewide recognition last week and highlighted employees from the Northeast Florida region. Cash awards, commemorative plaques and certificates of commendation were presented to state employees who clearly exceed their job descriptions and performance expectations in ways that improve service delivery and increase revenue for all Floridians.
