Department of Business and Professional Regulation Holds Condominium Educational Seminar

SARASOTA- Tomorrow, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s, Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes in partnership with Sarasota County will hold a condominium educational seminar. The seminar will be held tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Sarasota County Commission Chambers, 1660 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34236. The seminar will also be broadcast live on Access Sarasota Comcast TV 19/Verizon 32 and on SCNet.gov to give everyone an opportunity to tune in.
“We are pleased to have the chance to partner with county governments to provide information to the thousands of Floridians who live in condominium communities,” said Secretary Charles W. Drago. “We thank Sarasota County for allowing more citizens to benefit from the seminar through Access Sarasota and SCNet.”
The educational seminar will focus on laws and rules related to condominium elections and budgets. It is very important that condominium owners, board members and managers understand Florida’s condominium laws and proper operating procedures. The information will be provided by staff from the Division, and there will be an open discussion following the seminar. Participants will also be provided educational materials to bring back to their condominium associations.
“This is a great opportunity for condominium owners to get the information they need to comply with state regulations,” said Shannon Staub, Chair of the Sarasota County Commission. “It’s important for associations to conduct elections and business matters correctly.”
