DBPR Announces Important License Renewal Information for Hair Braiders, Hair Wrappers and Body Wrappers

Tallahassee – The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) today announced that hair braiders, hair wrappers and body wrapper licensees who have not completed all of their required continuing education hours will not be able to renew their registrations. This is part of the Department’s ongoing effort to increase continuing education compliance and awareness.
“It is important that these cosmetology professionals complete their continuing education requirements in a timely manner,” Secretary Holly Benson said. “We are working to ensure that all effected registrants are aware of the requirements so they can keep their registrations current and continue to contribute to Florida’s economy.”
Registrants may view education requirements and compliance information at www.MyFlorida.com/dbpr and may view their continuing education credits by visiting www.MyFloridaLicense.com. Prior to completing a course, registrants should verify that the education provider’s status and courses are current and active. A list of providers is available at: www.MyFlorida.com/dbpr, click on Professions and Professional Boards > Cosmetology, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page.
