Florida department of Business and Professional regulation launches new website
Tallahassee—As part of the Agency’s continuing effort to provide excellent customer service to licensees and consumers, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) has launched a new website (www.myflorida.com/dbpr) that improves navigation and accessibility.
“One of our main goals for redesigning the website was to provide our licensees and the public with a well-organized site where they can easily find the information they need,” DBPR Secretary Holly Benson said. “I believe the new website goes a long way in demonstrating the Agency’s commitment to improving customer service, and we will continue making improvements to that end.”
The new DBPR website organizes division information consistently; each page features prominent links to forms, statutes and rule, publications and download files, and more. Through the new website, licensees and the public are offered user-friendly access to the Department’s licensing system (www.myfloridalicense.com) by clicking on the “For Businesses” or “For Consumers” buttons.
Another goal was to make the website compliant with Section 508 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act, which requires government web- sites to be accessible to people with disabilities. The website allows those who use assistive technology such as Braille readers and JAWS software to access the site.
The Department of Business and Professional Regulation licenses and regulates nearly 1,000,000 of Florida’s businesses and professionals.
