Fee Changes for Finger Printing
September 21, 2007
The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is reminding potential licensees that all charges associated with finger printing are changing October 1, 2007.
The fee changes for DBPR’s licensees are as follows:
Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco: fee increase from $47 to $53.25.
Community Association Managers, Pari-Mutuel Wagering and Slots, Talent Agents and Athlete Agents: fee decrease from $47 to $42.25.
Land Sales Developers: fee decrease from $51 to $46.
Yacht and Ship Brokers: fee remains at $51 pending administrative rule change.
As part of the DBPR licensure process, potential licensees pay a fingerprint processing fee, which is assessed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Last June, the FBI announced effective October 1, 2007, a decrease in the processing fee to $19.25 for electronic submissions, and an increase in the fee for hard card (paper) submissions to $30.25.
