DBPR Mobile Food Vendor Fair Announces Vendors, Corporate Sponsor, Live Entertainment

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) today announced that 13 vendors will be featured at its second Mobile Food Vendor Fair on May 15, 2012 at DBPR headquarters in Tallahassee. The Northwood Centre is sponsoring the event, which will include live entertainment from the Crooked Shooz.
Participating vendors are: Street Chefs, Fat Mac’s Café, Rassle Dassle Hot Dogs, Piggy’s BBQ, Bahn Mi Palace, Fired Up Pizza, The Great American Sandwich Station, Sir Cheezy, Kinfolks BBQ, SmokinQ, Julio’s Food on the Move, MoBi and Wharf on Wheels.
DBPR licenses and regulates all food service establishments in the state, including mobile food vendors and hot dog carts. As one of the most rapidly growing segments of the Department’s food service licensees, mobile food vendors are a vital part of the state’s economy. Last December, DBPR hosted eight vendors and more than 300 people at its first Mobile Food Vendor Fair. The events are part of a continued effort for the Department to encourage business development, especially for small-business owners and entrepreneurs.
