The Department of Business and Professional Regulation Attends Premiere Hair Show

TALLAHASSEE—The Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s Divisions of Professions and Regulation will have representatives on-hand at the Premiere International Beauty Event in Orlando on June 7 and 8. This event boasts over 43,000 participants a year and has an educational program for hair, nail, day spa, and business operation.
During the show, attendees can speak with representatives from the department about licensing, continuing education credits, and new rules for the profession. Representatives will also be distributing informational brochures, educational items, and sharing the newest initiatives the department has to combat unlicensed activity.
The department’s mission is to license efficiently and regulate fairly. The department licenses more than one million businesses and professionals ranging from real estate agents, veterinarians, and accountants to contractors and cosmetologists.
