DBPR Secretary Charles W. Drago Invites Licensees to Meet him "On the Road to Better Business"

WHAT: “On the Road to Better Business.” Secretary Drago invites licensees to meet, offer feedback and share ideas.
WHEN: Sept. 17, 2008, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
WHERE: City Hall, 1070 Shoreline Dr., Gulf Breeze, Fla.
For the first time in Department history, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation is taking its business directly to the people it serves. The “On the Road to Better Business” initiative will be in Northwest Florida on Sept. 17 and is designed to bridge the communications gap and bring a piece of the government right to the customers. As directed by Governor Crist through “Accelerate Florida: Extending Florida's Economic Horizons,” Secretary Charles W. Drago invites professionals and business owners throughout the state, to meet with him and devise ways to promote less intrusive, more effective government by identifying burdensome regulation.
During “On the Road to Better Business,” Secretary Drago will hit the road and work from district offices across the state providing opportunities for citizens to meet and share experiences with the Department, suggestions on how to enhance business, and ways the Department can promote economic development. Licensees and citizens are encouraged to schedule a meeting with the Secretary between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. by e-mailing communications@dbpr.state.fl.us with the time they would like to meet and their contact information. Meetings will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins are welcome.
