DBPR to Host Second Annual "Celebrating Women in Business" Panel

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) today announced that it will host its second annual “Celebrating Women in Business” panel in Gainesville this Friday, March 22, 2013. The panel discussion is part of the Department’s celebration of Women’s History Month and is intended to provide an opportunity for women business leaders to network and gather tips and advice from their peers.
“Professional development is crucial for any business leader to succeed in their ventures,” said DBPR Secretary Ken Lawson. “Businesswomen make up a large part of our licensees and are vital to Florida’s economy and I am proud to facilitate this opportunity for them to network with other talented professionals.”
Panelists include Carol Bosshardt, Owner and CEO of Carol Bosshardt Realty Services, LLC; Jamie Shrum, Vice Chair of the Gainesville Area Women’s Network; and Randi Elrad, Owner and VP of Sales for Crime Prevention Security Systems. Additionally, Beth Dalton, Owner of Lean by Design, LLC and Chair of the Gainesville Area Women’s Network will be moderating the panel discussion.
The panel will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Department of Agriculture, Doyle Connor Building located at 1911 SW 34th Street, Gainesville, FL 32605. Networking will begin at 1:00 p.m. There is no cost to attend the event.
Last March, DBPR hosted more than 50 of the top women in business from the Tallahassee area at its first “Celebrating Women in Business” panel and this panel discussion continues the agency’s commitment to highlight talented female professionals from across the state.
