Beth Dalton, Chair of the Gainesville Area Women's Network and Owner of Lean by Design, LLC
Beth has had a diverse professional background, from outside sales in the beverage industry and medical equipment sales to commercial real estate. Four years ago, Beth experienced a dramatic shift in her life and started all over. She began searching for a new passion, which brought her to Gainesville to launch her Lean by Design company. The concept of Lean By Design originated out of Beth’s desire to live in a healthier, leaner body. Beth is in the business of changing, improving and in some cases saving lives by helping others realize the necessary balance between their spirit, mind and body. Her passion is to empower others to develop a body they love, trust and admire. LBD’s purpose is to help each person live a healthier, happier life by designing a balanced program of fitness and nutrition nurtured by a positive attitude and daily discipline.
Carol Bosshardt, Owner and CEO, Carol Bosshardt Realty Services, LLC
Carol Bosshardt started in real estate in 1977. Her experience as a sales agent with several major franchise names has given her a competitive edge in the real estate market. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor's of Art in social work and attributes this to her firm's unique approach when dealing with people. In 1993, Carol was a finalist for the State of Florida's entrepreneur of the year award, and in 2001 she won the Paul Harris service award for her long-standing commitment to her community. Carol also
has an MSBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida, which presented her with the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2006.
She also serves on numerous boards throughout the state and frequently speaks to women throughout the state about business.
Jamie Shrum, Vice Chair of the Gainesville Area Women's Network
After 30+ years in customer service, Jamie came out of retirement to enter the direct selling arena. She and her husband Bob lead a team across the nation and host the very popular Gainesville Networking Challenge. Jamie currently serves as Vice Chair of the Gainesville Area Women's Network.
Randi Elrad, Owner and VP of Sales, Crime Prevention Security Systems
Randi Elrad is the owner/founder of Crime Prevention Security Systems and Custom Home Entertainment. She started Crime Prevention Security Systems with her husband, John Pastore Jr, in 1975, and also serves as the V.P of Sales for the company. Crime Prevention Security Systems is a family owned and operated business with close to 60 employees. They have been named one of the top 100 Security Companies in the U.S. and are one of the Top 50 Custom Home Entertainment Companies in the country. Locally, Randi and her team were awarded the 2012 Ethical Business of the Year by the Gainesville Rotary, and the 2011 Large Business of the Year award by the Gainesville Chamber. In 2010 they were voted one of the best companies to work for in the state of Florida, and became GE's Dealer of the Year for the United States in 2009.
Deanna Nelson, REALTOR, Owner of Nelson Properties, and Business Office Manager / HR for Brookdale Senior Living
Deanna has been a REALTOR in the Gainesville community for over 15 years. She is recognized as a Platinum Club and Hall of Fame REALTOR. She has been a business owner of Nelson Properties for over 10 years. During the transition in the economy, Deanna completed a BAS in Health Services Administration and a license as an Assisted Living Facility Administrator. She uses her ALF Administrator's license and education as the Business Office Manager at Brookdale Senior Living where she is responsible for the direct management and supervision of all HR and Business Management operations for a 55+ organized employee group. Deanna is also a PACE board director where she contributes time and resources to help girls with unfortunate circumstances get through tough times, learn life skills and encourage theirefforts to graduate from high school. Among the many jobs that Deanna does, she enjoys enriching the lives of those she serve at the elder community of Brookdale where many seniors suffer from Alzheimer's / Dementia.
