New Requirement - display of License
By July 1, 2008, all barbers, restricted barbers and barbers assistants must attach a 2”x2” photograph taken within the last two years to the license and must have the license with photograph permanently laminated and displayed at their place of employment in plain view of the work station.
The entire text of the amended rule is provided below.
61G3-19.009 – Display of License.
(1) A current personal license shall be displayed at all times at the barber’s place of employment in plain view of the work station. The license or registration on display shall be the original certificate or a duplicate issued by the Department and shall have attached a 2′′ by 2′′ photograph taken within the previous two years of the individual whose name appears on the certificate. The certificate with photograph attached shall be permanently laminated as of July 1, 2008.

Attention: Barber Endorsement Applicants!
All barber endorsement applications received on or after August 20, 2007, must include an education evaluation conducted by a credential evaluation service which is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Please see the list of authorized NACES members. If the NACES education evaluation is not included with the endorsement application, it will be considered deficient.
