The Professions listed below have Florida examinations that are available on a Computer Based Testing (CBT) format. For more information on the examinations please visit our Candidate Information Booklet web page.
Candidates wishing to take the license examination in Spanish, if available, must make their language preference known at the time their examination reservation is made with the Computer Testing vendor Pearson VUE. If you do not request examination in Spanish at the time you schedule your examination, the examination will be in English. The following examinations are available in Spanish:

Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your exam, you must contact Pearson VUE 2 DAYS prior to your scheduled appointment. Cancelling an exam less than 2 DAYS prior to your appointment or missing your exam may result in forfeiting your exam fees.
No Show Policy
You will be required to pay your examination in full, and possibly reapply to DBPR, if you do not show up for your exam appointment.

Construction:
Irrigation Contractors candidates will not receive grade reports at the site immediately after the April and June examinations. Please complete the forms you will be handed so your reports will be mailed, faxed or emailed to you few days after the examination.
Business and Finance examination part for all categories & Glass & Glazing and Marine Contractors Trade Knowledge examination parts.
Irrigation Contractors, Service Pool, Commercial Pool, Residenatial Pool and Solar Trade Knowledge examinations are projected to be moved to computer based testing (CBT) in March 2014.

Candidates taking a computer-based examination through Pearson VUE will be required to submit a valid email address and pay at the time the exam is scheduled, either through Pearson VUE web site or toll free line. Candidates will no longer be able to pay on the date of the exam. To assist candidates without a credit card, Pearson VUE has a "voucher" system of payment; more details will be provided when they become available. Two (2) forms of signature identification, one of which bears your picture, signature and is government issued: driver’s license, state identification card, passport or military identification card. YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO SHOW PROPER I.D. TO GAIN ADMISSION TO THE TEST SITE. Student, employment I.D. cards and photo bearing credit cards are not acceptable as a picture bearing identification.
Once the appropriate Board Office has approved a candidate’s eligibility to take an examination, the candidate’s file is sent electronically to Pearson VUE. Within 24 hours of receipt of the electronic file, Pearson VUE mails the candidate an authorization letter.
The authorization letter confirms the examination for which the candidate has been approved by the Board Office, the candidate identification number, and the telephone number to call for scheduling the examination.

If you need a calculator to be used during the exam, please check this list to verify that your calculator model is acceptable. Upon completion of the examination, a score report is issued on site. Re-examination and Licensure information is provided along with the score report.

After scheduling the candidate’s examination by telephone, a Confirmation Notice is mailed to the candidate reflecting the candidate’s name, Pearson VUE Identification Number, Department Identification Number, examination to be administered, date of examination and examination site address.
