Attention Prospective Electrical Contractor Examination Candidates:
The Electrical Contractors’ Certification examinations is offered in two parts: a Technical/Safety section (100 test questions, 5 hours) and a Business section (50 test questions, 2 ½ hours). Both examinations are administered via computer at secure, proctored test locations by our current contracted vendor Pearson VUE. Each examination is open-book. The examinations are administered separately and scored independently from each other. A minimum score of 75% is needed to pass each examination part. Candidates must pass both parts in order to apply for licensure. Candidates please note:
*Effective April 1, 2009, the Florida Contractors Manual 2009 edition will replace the 2004 edition as the reference for Florida Electrical Contractors’ examinations.
