Restaurant Disciplinary Activity Reports
The Division of Hotels and Restaurants posts the following report of disciplinary actions taken relating to public food service establishment inspections. Each of the listed cases involves either a signed stipulation ("settlement") between the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and the restaurant licensee or a Final Order issued after a formal administrative hearing has been conducted. Section 509.261, Florida Statutes, authorizes the division to fine, suspend or revoke the license of establishments that do not comply with state health and safety laws.
Facilities named in the Restaurant Disciplinary Activity Report are a small fraction of the 38,000 public food service establishments licensed by DBPR in Florida. The vast majority of these facilities operate in accordance with Florida law and make a conscientious effort to correct any deficiencies. The facilities named below either allowed conditions to exist that pose an immediate threat to the public's health and safety or repeatedly did not correct non-critical violations noted during routine and call-back inspections, despite being given oral and written warnings and ample time to do so.
Restaurants/Food Service Plan Review Applications
The Division of Hotels and Restaurants posts the following report which represents plan review applications for public food service establishments (i.e., seating and non-seating establishments, caterers, mobile food dispensing vehicles, hot dog carts, theme park food carts and vending machines) filed over the past 18 months. These records include mailing and facility addresses, and are sorted by licensing and inspection regions as described above and by county.
