The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation is proud
to announce the winners of the
2009 “Why Not?” Spring Break video contest.

Underage Generation Y’ers, from 14 to 20, were called to create 30-second videos about
why they choose not to make alcohol a part of their Spring Break plans.

Videos came from near and far, and the competition was fierce.  The selection committee, consisting of
Secretary Charles Drago, Director of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco Jerry Geier, and
Director of Communications Jenn Meale, chose three of the most creative and well made videos
that shared the message on why not to drink during Spring Break.

	The Florida Retail Federation Grand Prize Winner is Brandon Gainforth, 17. Brandon is a senior at West Ottawa High School in Holland, Michigan.
	The Charmer Sunbelt Group Second Place Prize Winners are Andrea Likens, 17, and Kiersten Lampe, 17.  Andrea is a senior and Kiersten is a junior at Deltona High School in Deltona, Florida.
	The Tri-Eagle Sales Third Place Winners are Paul Murphy, Dylan Parker, Caitlyn Chrisco & Will Harvey. They are all students at Wakulla High School and members of Pogue Mahone Incorporated, their "school group" production company.
