Child Labor Waiver

This is not a Work Permit. Work Permits are issued in Florida for the entertainment industry only. A waiver of the child labor law is needed when minors want to work in the regular workforce beyond the limits of the state law. DBPR reviews waiver requests from those minors who are no longer enrolled in the public school K-12 programs. School Districts are responsible for issuing waivers for those students still enrolled in the public school K-12 programs. A waiver is not required during the summer session.
