GENERAL INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE - TEMPORARY
Positions include, but are not limited to: athletic trainer, ball boy, ball maker, blacksmith, plater, cesta maker, exercise person, groom, head lead out/lead out, horse clipper, hot walker, kennel helper, maintenance employee (with access to restricted areas), outrider, pony rider, security employee, stable agent, stable help, vendor representative (with access to restricted areas), veterinarian assistant, mutuels clerk/teller, totalisator employee, moneyroom employee and any other professional person with access to restricted areas.
APPLICATION: Individuals applying for the first time must complete a DBPR PMW-3120 Individual Occupational License Application form. Complete the application by clicking on the "Printable Application" or "Online Services" link at the bottom of the page.
LICENSE TERM: Florida Pari-Mutuel licenses are valid from July 1st and shall be valid
for a period of three fiscal years.
FEE: The license fee is $15 for a three-year license.
FINGERPRINTS: Individual occupational license applicants
must submit fingerprint cards and pay the $37.25 fingerprint fee the first year.
Fingerprints will be electronically retained for future
submissions to the FDLE. Every 3 years thereafter, upon renewal, the
applicant must pay a $13.25 resubmission fee for his/her fingerprints to be
resubmitted to the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement for an updated criminal
history background check.
If not eligible for fingerprint resubmission, physical fingerprint
cards can be mailed to DBPR, Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering; Licensing
Section, 2601 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, FL 32399-1037
alternatively submit your fingerprints electronically through a law enforcement
agency or an FDLE approved Livescan Device Vendor. If you are able to submit
your fingerprints electronically, please submit them with the following
required ORI number: FL920630Z. Livescan Device
Exemptions from Fingerprinting: An
applicant who is under 18 years of age is exempt from fingerprint requirements;
and instead of a fingerprint card, an applicant who is 70 years of age or older
submits $24 for a background information records check through the Florida Department
of Law Enforcement.

NOTE: Certified law
enforcement or corrections officers working in security or safety positions do
not require an occupational license, except when working as the Chief of
Fees may be paid by
check or money order only and should be made payable to DBPR in U.S. funds.
