A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Establishment did not report seating change that affects the license fee, Clean Indoor Air Act, sewage system approval or other related requirements. Establishment has tables on side of establishments with signs saying Apple a day customers only. 3 tables with 6 seats. Signs removed by manager.
Basic - Label on a food item prepared and packaged onsite for customer self-service does not include product identity/description, date product was packaged and name and address of the establishment that prepared and packaged the food. Packaged soups in self service cooler near soup wells.
Basic - Lights in food preparation, food storage or warewashing area missing the proper shield, sleeve coatings or covers. Over smoothie area. **Repeat Violation**
Basic - Opened employee beverage container in a cold holding unit with food to be served to customers. Opened can of Sprite and bottle of water in reach in cooler over syrups and produce intended for customers. "Cold water" cooler near register.
High Priority - Live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, or food storage area. Approximately 4 live flies in kitchen near display case.
High Priority - Pesticide/insecticide labeled for household use only present in establishment. Can of ant and roach raid in cabinet under hand sink next to triple sink.
Intermediate - Handwash sink not accessible for employee use due to items stored in the sink. Wet washcloth in hand sink by triple sink. Moved by employee. **Corrected On-Site**
