A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Case/container/bag of food stored on floor in kitchen.
Case of cooking oil stored on floor next to fryers on the cook line. Manager properly stored oil. **Corrected On-Site** **Repeat Violation**
Basic - In-use rice scoop/spoon stored in standing water less than 135 degrees Fahrenheit.
Rice scoop stored in 108°F standing water next to rice cooker near dishmachine. Manager discarded the water. **Corrected On-Site** **Repeat Violation**
Basic - Plumbing system in disrepair.
Handwash sink faucet in disrepair in last stall in women's bathroom. Manager stated he is In the process of fixing the faucet.
Basic - Soil residue build-up on nonfood-contact surface.
Grease residue build up on paper towel dispenser located between the cook line and the walk in cooler.
High Priority - Container of medicine improperly stored.
Personal prescription medicine stored on shelf above main flip top cooler on cook line. Manager removed medicine from kitchen. **Corrected On-Site** **Repeat Violation**
High Priority - Potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit.
cooked carrots (44°F); half and half (48°F) stored on ice near wok station on cook line. Manager stated food was taking out of the cooler a few minutes ago. Very little under food. Manager added more ice and completely submerged the food. **Corrective Action Taken**
Intermediate - Hot water not provided/shut off at employee handwash sink.
Hot water completely turned off at handwash sink next to dishmachine. Manager stated they are still waiting for the part to fix the hot water at the sink.
Intermediate - Pet dog allowed inside food service establishment.
Small dog in a stroller inside the restaurant next to guest tables by bar area. Guest and small dog left the establishment during inspection. **Corrected On-Site**
