A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Employee personal items stored in or above a food preparation area. Observed employee iPad on slicer. This is a repeat violation from 1/20/2019 **Repeat Violation**
Basic - No handwashing sign provided at a hand sink used by food employees. Observed no hand washing sign at hand sink at bar and on cook line. Inspector emailed operator copies of hand washing sign. **Corrective Action Taken**
High Priority - Raw animal food stored over ready-to-eat food in reach-in cooler. Observed raw breaded chicken over ready to eat ham in reach in cooler. Operator moved items to proper storage order. **Corrected On-Site**
Intermediate - Handwash sink not accessible for employee use due to items stored in the sink. Observed a bucket in hand washing sink on cook line. Operator removed bucket from hand washing sink. **Corrected On-Site**
Intermediate - No paper towels or mechanical hand drying device provided at handwash sink. Observed no paper towels at hand washing sink near dishwasher. Operator supplied paper towels. This is a repeat violation from 12/20/2019. **Corrected On-Site** **Repeat Violation**
Intermediate - Required employee training expired for all employees. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (SafeStaff) 866-372-7233. Observed all employee training expired.
