Certified Specialty Electrical Contractor - Endorsement (ECLB 2)

This application is used by individuals that are licensed in a state that has a substantially similar exam and want to become licensed in Florida as a Certified Specialty Electrical Contractor.

Application Requirements:
 
  • DEFINITIONS: Endorsement is licensure of individuals who hold a substantially equivalent license in another state and would like to become licensed in Florida based on their out-of-state license. Endorsement is similar to reciprocity; however, it is not automatic and it requires board approval.

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: You must demonstrate you meet one of the experience requirements set forth in the instruction pages of the application.

  • PERSONAL FINANCIAL/CREDIT: You must provide a personal credit report.
  • Business FINANCIAL/CREDIT: You must provide a Business Credit Report, Business Financial Statement showing a net worth of at least $5,000, Letter of Financial, Verification of Supervising Employee or Officer Status.
  • OUT-OF-STATE LICENSE: You must provide proof you hold a license and that you took and passed an exam that is substantially similar to the Florida exam for that category. See Endorsement List for all exams the Board has reviewed and determined to be substantially similar.

  • FEE: Pay the required fee as provided in the application. If applying online, you can pay with a credit card or electronic check. If mailing your application, please include a check payable to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Military veterans, their spouses and Florida National Guard members may be eligible for a fee waiver, fee reimbursement, and/or fee discount.
