Talent Agency - Initial Licensure (TA 1)

This form is used for individuals who are initially applying to become a licensed talent agency in Florida.

Application Requirements:
 
  • EXPERIENCE: Prove at least 1 year of experience in the trade, such as, subagent, casting director, producer, director, advertising agency, talent coordinator, or musical booking agent.
  • FINGERPRINTS: An applicant must have a background check as part of the licensing process. You must submit your fingerprints using a Livescan Service Provider registered with FDLE immediately after submitting your application for licensure. It may take up to five days for your fingerprint results to be received by the Department after they are submitted to the Florida Department of Law enforcement (FDLE). Please note that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement requires that an application for licensure should precede the submission of your fingerprints.   • SURETY BOND: Provide a $5,000 surety bond from a reputable (known for good business practices) company licensed to do bonding business in Florida.
  • SCHEDULE OF FEES: Pursuant to §468.406(1), each applicant for a Talent Agency license shall file with the application an itemized schedule of maximum fees, charges, and commissions which it intends to charge and collect for its services.

  • CORPORATE ENTITY: If your Talent Agency is registered with the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations as a Partnership, LLC or Corporation the organization name must exactly match on your application. If you intend to use a Fictitious Name, this information must match the name listed in the D/B/A section of the application. Note: If you intend to operate as a company you must register the company name with the Division of Corporations prior to submitting your application.

  • FEE: Pay the required fee as provided in the application. If applying online, you can pay with a credit card or electronic check. If mailing your application, please include a check payable to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
  • APPLICATION: Complete the application by clicking on the "Online Services" link or the "Printable Application" link at the bottom of the page
  • NOTICE FOR APPLICANTS SUBMITTING FINGERPRINTS WHERE CRIMINAL RECORD RESULTS WILL BE USED FOR LICENSING PURPOSES
