Professional Geologist - Initial License for Out-of-State Applicants (Endorsement) (PG 4701)
This application is used to apply for licensure by individuals who hold a license in another state and would like to become licensed in Florida based on their out-of-state license.

- DEFINITION: Endorsement is licensure of individuals who hold a substantially equivalent license in another state and would like to become licensed in Florida based on their out-of-state license.
OUT-OF-STATE LICENSE: Complete a License Verification in another state that required the National Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG) exam and submit a copy of the laws and rules at the time you were licensed in that state. - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: An official transcript is
required demonstrating a degree in geology or related field. An applicant needs at least 5 years of
verified professional geological work experience, which includes a minimum of 3
years of professional geological work under the supervision of a licensed or
qualified geologist or professional engineer registered under chapter 471 as
qualified in the field or discipline of professional engineering work
performed; or has a minimum of 5 years of verified geological work experience in
responsible charge of geological work as determined by the board. Responsible
charge is direct control and personal supervision of geological work done by
oneself or by others over whom the applicant exercises supervisory authority. This is not a complete listing of educational

- FEE: Pay the required fee as

payable to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Military
